Ayer fuimos a la Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Yesterday we went to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. It was a lot of fun. Ava and I rolled down the hills of sand and we were really dizzy when we stood up. My parents were hiking. But Ava and I were a little sad because there is this thing called sandboarding and we could not get a sandboard because you have to drive 3 miles and my parents didn’t want to do that. We found a piece of cardboard and tried to ride it down the hill but it didn’t work. When my parents came back we had to go. The sand felt good on my feet while we were walking back. I learned that the Sand Dunes mountain was formed by the wind moving the sand around. It was a lot of fun.
There was also a creek we crossed that was very refreshing and cold.

I learn something every time I receive one of your blogs.
Your spanish is amazing!
That looks like so much fun!! And tell your parents that if they don’t want to drive 3 miles for a sandboard that next time you’d be happy to do it!!
Hey now, in fairness to the parents we are taking them on a year long excursion across the US, one small disappointment can be forgiven ;).
The Dunes are so much fun and I am so excited they are finally a National Park!! I am up that way a lot visiting my sister and brother-in-law on their boat in Michigan City. Glad you enjoyed the Dunes!
Different Dunes :). We were at Great Sand Dunes in Colorado – we will be at Indiana Dunes in the fall. So confusing right?!
Looks like so much fun!
