Gateway Arch National Park

Today we got up early and headed to downtown St Louis and the Gateway Arch National Park.  We got exceedingly lucky and were able to get tickets to ride up to the top.  The best part for me; I have not done that since I was probably Hazel’s age.  And to make it even better, the elevator/tram has not changed at all. Still ridiculously small, crazy bouncy and somewhat clangy.  Imagine jumping into a large pale blue, solid steel, “pill box” with 4 other folks and sort of side walking up 630 feet.  I loved it!  Carolyn – not so much.

After the Arch it was on to Osage City Kansas and Eisenhower State Park.  Now enjoying a nice evening with an amazing view and a great brew.
