My mom made me write in Spanish, but don’t worry, I will translate in English below!

I loosely translated the Spanish to English here:
Yesterday we hiked a beautiful 5 mile trail in the Smoky Mountains! There was a creek near us the entire way and trees and flowers surrounded us! I took a picture of one of the flowers above. The hike was 2.6 miles up the mountain to awesome picnic tables surrounded by the dense foliage with an amazing view through the trees! We ate lunch at the site and walked the 2.6 miles back down (with a couple more ups along the way) the mountain to the car. From there we went back to the RV site and showered and rested. Then around 4:00 we headed off to a fancy inn, the Swag, for dinner. The Swag was like a cabin in the forest on the mountain! My parents have stayed at this inn and loved it, but unfortunately we could only stay for dinner. That dinner was one of the best dinners I have ever had in my life though! It was amazing! And at the end there were so many scrumptious desserts to choose from! After an eventful and fun day, we were ready to head back to the RV and get some sleep. For only the second day, we were already off to a great start!

Good translation Ms Ava! Tom and I have also stayed at The Swag. It’s a unique venue and agree the food…and views….are awesome!
Un dia muy bueno! ❤
Que divertido! Disfruté leerlo en español Ava!
Perfecto!
My son used to send me letters in Spanish when he lived Spain while in the Navy. I used to be able to read most of the words as I took Spanish in high school and used to travel to Mexico while vacationing. But I have to admit I have lost that knack now. Good for you for writing this is Spanish and English! The hike sounds wonderful and beautiful!
That’s cool! Is your son fluent now?
